Common questions

How long does a home solar install take?: Most domestic systems are on and generating within two to three days, including scaffolding, roof work and the electrical connection at the board.
Do I need planning permission?: Usually not — most roof-mounted arrays are permitted development. Listed buildings and conservation areas are the exception, and we tell you before quoting.
Is a battery worth adding?: It depends on your usage pattern and tariff. We model it from twelve months of consumption and only recommend storage where the numbers support it.
Who handles the DNO paperwork?: We do. G98 or G99 notification and export tariff registration are handled on your behalf as part of the install.
